Force-Free Animal Behaviour Consultant
My training and behaviour approach is to prioritise your pet's emotional wellbeing so they can live happily in our human world.

About me
My name is Sherri and I am a certified Animal Trainer & Behaviour Consultant, a member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and a Fear-Free Certified Professional.
My approach to dog behaviour is to give priority to the animal's emotional response and well-being during training. With this in mind, I do not use (or use any tools that promote) any force, domination or punishment on any animals. I only use positive reinforcement methods.
I am also a Veterinary Nurse with 16 years' experience in practice. As well as giving me the hands-on experience with the animals that I see every day in the training world, this also allows me to quickly identify any underlying pain or disease issue which may be causing a behavioural change.
I am also qualified in Feline Behaviour and experienced in Rabbit Behaviour.
Services
1:1 services in your home.
If you need help with something that isn't listed here, please get in touch!

Co-operative Care
Does your dog worry or become fearful, at the vets or at home, about having their nails clipped, ear or eye drops put in, anal glands expressed or body groomed? Of course, medicating them can help, but that doesn't take away their fear. As a Fear-Free Certified Trainer, I work with your dog to turn their emotional response from a negative one into a positive one. Saving you, and them, years ahead of stress and anxiety.

Behaviour Management & Modification
Whether you have a dog who is digging up the garden or a dog who is afraid of the sound of you sneezing, our animals display body language in a way we don't always understand. My job is to find out the underlying message your dog is telling you and give you practical strategies to make their life, and yours, a happier one.

Enrichment Visits
If your dog is unable to go for their usual sniffy walks, or you feel they could benefit from some extra mental enrichment, I can come to your home and provide them with suitable outlets for them to express normal dog behaviours relevant to their breed such as sniffing, digging, chewing, exploring and seeking. This can reduce boredom and associated issues as well as give them choices so they feel more in control of their environment.

Cat & Rabbit Behaviour
As well as dogs, I can also advise on cat and rabbit behaviour. This is also beneficial in multi-pet households when predatory behaviours are seen between dog/cat/rabbit. Rabbits are my side passion and I have many years' experience working with them in the rescue and shelter sector.
What my clients say
I have had the pleasure of helping many local clients and their dogs. This section is still to come but watch this space!
Frequently Asked Questions
I cover the Northern Coastal Corridor of Perth from Trigg to Alkimos. If you aren't sure if I cover your area, drop me a message.
A canine behavioural consultation is $180 for an initial 2 hour consult which includes a training plan. Follow-up visits are $90 for a 45-60 min consultation.
Enrichment visits are priced depending on area and how many are required. Packages are available. Please contact me for more information.
I try to keep all my prices very reasonable and accessible to all because, ultimately, I want the pet and their owner to get the help they need. Because of this, I do not offer a further discount to pensioners.
As I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I am more than happy to answer any questions within my remit. However, anything that I think requires Veterinary attention or a Vet to answer then I will refer you to your own vet.
